Hi – Hope you are well? All is well here.
Downtrend Shapes Renewal’s album “The Pragmatist” was launched on the 16th March 2018 – there are still CDs available and you can always get the album as a download – just visit the label’s shop HERE.
Fernando’s Loudspeaker has a release out on the thirtieth of this month (that is this Friday!). CDs for “Vocal Studies 1” can be pre-ordered HERE. The album will be available as a download (WAV//MP3) from Friday at midnight – so, set your alarms – from the same link.
Thanks to Ed Lawrenson for the artwork – Ed has taken over responsibilities for the covers for Focused Silence and is doing a grand job – if at any point you want to buy a cover for the artwork then click HERE and you can purchase a fine art print – all proceeds go to the artist, Ed.
We are gearing up for a big release on April 9th, 2018 – the artist is a new one on the label. “Manatee” is Metrophobia’s debut on the label. Metrophobia produces dreamy avant-pop loveliness. Inspired by the likes of Bonobo. Metrophobia is very welcome at Focused Silence, to hear the title track from the album, click HERE.
I think I have said all I can at this junction – we have a lot of irons in the fire and I could prattle on so much – but I had best be quiet and save it for another time.
The Parish News
Here is this week’s edition of The Parish News … it was recorded at Creao Studio, Harrogate – I admit my voice is not cut out for the wireless but hopefully, you dig the music. If you know of any stations that want a free Experimental Show then send them my way.
I thought about writing up the playlist for this week’s edition of The Parish News within this Newsletter – but, no – there is enough of me in this Newsletter. However, I have started to write up the Playlist for the shows on the website for The Parish News (www.theparishnews.com) so if it piques your interest head over to the site.
If you run a blog or a zine and you are interested in reviewing any of the music in this newsletter then please message me at [email protected] and I could send you over a copy.
Many thanks for taking time out of your day to read this – hopefully I can do the artists on the label proud.
