The real name of the man behind Tantric Doctors is Adam Woolf. His main project, whilst based in London, was to run workshops with vulnerable non-musicians alongside trained musicians. This gave his clients a creative outlet. The thinking behind this series of workshops was outside of the box – as is this album, TANTRIC CITY, which is very outside of the box.
A blend of free-flowing improvised electronica and a touch of free jazz that – inevitably – will bring comparisons to Philip Cohran and, in parts, the Archestra. Tantric City, by Tantric Doctors, was originally scheduled to be a CD release. However, due to the failing health of office admin, this plan was put on the back burner and the album sees the light of day as a digital download.
Live performances in his now native town of Sheffield are becoming more frequent.
