Lined up for release on the twenty eighth of April 2017 is the debut release on Focused Silence for Hipnotic Jazz.
Bringing a sophisticated edge to an untouched area for the label – this is a ‘pop’ release compared to some of the harsher tones that have been released on here so far. But, don’t let that lull you in to a sense of complacency – this is brilliant stuff: think mid-seventies Sun Ra sensibilities and modern production values and you are half way to where this album starts.
Taking you on a journey from joy down to the spiritual nadir – this album is a release that see Hipnotic Jazz at his peak.
Hipnotic Jazz, otherwise known as Glen, is a Southend based musician who has a global appeal – I am happy he consented to releasing “Masks” on Focused Silence.
