The release of Fernando’s Loudspeaker’s album “Vocal Studies 1” marks a bold departure for Focused Silence – I figure everyone has the ability and the right to be heard – be this in conversation, debate or politically. I am one for free speech.
But what if the speech was reduced to nonsense and then mangled beyond repair?
Fernando’s Loudspeaker does just that. They mumble nonsense poetry into their recording gear and then slice it up using bespoke techniques. It really is a triumph to hear. It takes the base act of talking and makes art out of it.
